League One duo chase Black

League One duo Bradford City and Brentford are chasing former Gillingham loanee Tommy Black on loan. Former Gillingham manager who is now the boss of Palace, claimed the two clubs are chasing Tommy Black.

Tommy Black, 26, played on loan for Gillingham last season and was an instrumental part of Gillingham's six game winning run last season.

Tommy is one of Crystal Palace's longest serving players after the versataile midfielder signed from Arsenal in 2000. He made two appearences for the Gunners with one of those two coming in the Premiership.

Many Gills fans thought his five goals in seventeen games would see him return to the Palace squad, but Tommy has played just one game for the Eagles this season.

His quality and vital goals helped The Gills survived relegation last year and his partnership with Matty Jarvis helped Gillingham go on that very impressive six game winning run - one of those wins was an away victory at table toppers Southend where Tommy Black scored the winner.

Whilst on loan at Gillingham last season Black made his way into the League One Team of the Week three times.
